Bánh mì

I'm too lazy to look up the exact name or address, but there is a Vietnamese sandwich place on Broome St. between Elizabeth and Mott with SAIGON on the awning. And it's so worth the whopping 3.95 you'll lay down for it.

Bánh mì is technically the name for the bread, but also refers to the sandwich you get at these places. It consists of a long, fluffy baguette stuffed with spicy pork, mayo, pickled carrots, cucumber, cilantro, and a few other slices of nondescript meats, and probably some other ingredients I've left out.

Bottom line: Delicious. Cheap. Filling. Not Greasy. Perfectly spicy. PORK.

Big thanks to Brian for taking me there :)
