brunch'd

When brunching, tried and true I find is best, so me and Heather crossed the river to famed Williamsburg establishment Egg (pig and egg to be exact). Note hip fauna in background...and waiting list! But, we got there around 11 so it was only about a 1/2 hour, parties of two are an advantage.

While waiting we weren't disappointed, there was plenty to keep us busy: crayons and cruellers. Yum they serve eggy fried doughnutty delights before the meal.

Then....FOOD

I got the eggs Rothko: brioche egg in the hole with scrumptiously sharp Grafton cheddar broiled tomatoes and country ham.
Heather's: poached eggs with grits and boiled tomatoes

Success!

Also: another delightful treat: Clinton St. Bakery..long lines but a brunchery staple...yummy moist carrot/cheesy muffins shown
